Lenders

Below are lenders our clients have used successfully. (We receive no compensation from any third party, including lenders.) You’re welcome to use any lender you prefer—except Bank of America and Wells Fargo, as they’ve been unable to close investor loans.

Interest rates will change many times before you lock in your loan, so don’t worry too much about current rates. Once you have a property under contract, we recommend you:

  • Get the current rates from the lender you received your pre-approval from.
  • Contact other lenders and tell them you have a loan at X% rate and if they can do significantly better, you’re open to moving the loan to them.
  • If you get a better rate, it’s only fair that you call the original lender and ask them to match it.

It is important that you do this the day we get a property under contract in case you do decide to move to a different lender. The new lender will need time to handle all the paperwork and meet the contract specified close date.
